MARSHFIELD – UW-Marshfield/Wood County has selected the
following students to serve as campus ambassadors:
● Shanon Denzine: A second-year student at UW-Marshfield/
Wood County, Denzine is working towards a teaching
certificate for Secondary History education. He is
co-president of the Student Wisconsin Education Association
chapter and is a member and treasurer of Phi Theta Kappa.
In 2004-05, he played on the Marauder Tennis Team and
tutored at the Marshfield Middle School. He is a 1995
graduate of
Neillsville High School.
● Lynnette Mitchell: An elementary education major and
mother of two, Mitchell has edited the campus magazine “Far
Sight” and was the 2004-05 president of the adult student
group “The Mature Marauders.” She was the recipient of the
2004-05 English Award and is a 1986 graduate of
Marshfield Senior
High School.
● Brittany Lueth: A second-year student, Lueth is majoring
in communications and minoring in psychology. She plays on
the Marauder Volleyball Team and is working as a student
athletic trainer. She is an emergency medical technician
with the Abbotsford EMS and Fire Department. She is a
2003 graduate of
Abbotsford High School.
● Rebecca Raine: A nursing major, Raine is in her second
year at The Wood. She played varsity tennis and was the
student senate representative for the Student Nursing
Association. She is a 2002 graduate of Marshfield
Senior High School.
● Patrick Neuenfeldt: Neuenfeldt graduated from Owen-Withee
High School in 2004. He is majoring in secondary education,
broad field social studies, and minoring in theater. He
holds a Work Study position in the Student Services Office
on campus.
● Ernst Kibbel: A nursing major, Kibbel, a husband and
father, returned to college after 10 years in the
workforce. His campus activities include involvement with
the Mature Marauders, Student Nursing Association. He
graduated from Spencer High School in 1992.
● Grace Ignatowski: After working
in health care for 15 years, Ignatowski returned to school
and is majoring in nursing. She is co-president of the
campus Student Nursing Association and is a member of the
Mature Marauders. She
graduated from Waterford Union High School in 1982.
● Angela Schellin:
A second-year student, Schellin is majoring in elementary
education and hopes to teach grades K-3. She is
co-president of the Student Wisconsin Education Association
chapter. She
graduated from Marshfield Senior High School in 2004.
UW-Marshfield/Wood County Ambassadors are students selected
to represent the campus at various events, including Preview
Day, Parents’ Night, Transfer Day, New Student Orientation
and Wisconsin Education Fairs. Ambassadors give about 50
hours of service each year; some of them volunteering many
more.
