When I
started out at UW-Marshfield/Wood County, I planned to go into
nursing through the UW-Eau Claire Collaborative Degree program.
In fact, I got accepted in the spring of '05.
But thanks to two years at UW-Marshfield/Wood County, my GPA
was high enough - 3.6 - to get me into the UW-Madison pre-med
program. Now, I'm finishing my senor year at UW-Madison.
I'll be applying to med schools in the fall. I'm thinking
about specializing in pediatrics, oncology or radiology, but I'm
definitely keeping my options open.
That's what UW-Marshfield/Wood County is all about - options.
Getting your general degree requirements here helps you discover
what you really want out of higher education, a career and life!
It's your Best Start to the Life you want!
My time spent at The Wood was spent on developing who I am.
After four years of college, I've learned that too many students
jump into big four-year schools and have no idea what they want
to do with their lives. They're just in school to go.
Here at The Wood, you can take the time to slow down and put
some thought into why you are in college, what you want to major
in, where you want to transfer to and make better decisions
about your future.
Ultimately that's what I learned at The Wood, and am so
grateful for it!
