Samantha
Rotar
Hi,
my name is Samantha Rotar, but please call me
Sammie. I was born and raised here in Marshfield,
where I graduated in 2007. I am now on my second
year at UW Marshfield/Wood County, majoring in
Elementary Education, and planning on transferring
to UW Steven's Point next fall. By taking advantage
of all the opportunities here, I am an active member
of Student Wisconsin Education Association (SWEA)
and your current Student Ambassador. I encourage all
students to join a club, sports team, or
organization. Please feel free to say hi whenever
you see me, I love to chat! |

I came to attend
UW-Marshfield/Wood County as a transfer student
after a year-long stint living and going to school
in Chicago. It’s a rather complicated tale that I
won’t bore you with here; let’s just say it was a
sort of happy accident. I currently live in
Wisconsin Rapids and am majoring in Nursing with
plans to transfer to UW-Madison. Although
UW-Marshfield wasn’t my first choice for college,
I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the level of
quality and commitment in the faculty and staff.
I’ve also made some wonderful relationships along
the way. I’m a very open and friendly type of
person, so if you need any help whatsoever feel free
to ask! |

I am a sophomore at
UW-Marshfield/Wood County, and I am majoring in
Political Science. After I get my AAS degree, I
will transfer to UW-Madison. At “The Wood” I have
been heavily involved in numerous activities
including: Phi Theta Kappa, UW-M/WC College
Democrats, IVCF, Student Senate, the local Cub Scout
Troop, and numerous committees, I also have a
part-time job. |

I’m in my second year at
UW-Marshfield/Wood County and working towards my
major in Biology and securing my future career as a
dentist. In addition to being an ambassador, I am a
member of Phi Theta Kappa and Sigma Kappa Delta
honor societies. I’m excited about the role I’ll
play in the upcoming year as will as meeting new
people. I encourage everyone to get involved and
remember to have fun because this is a once in a
lifetime experience! |

I am currently in my second
year at UW-Marshfield/Wood County and as of right
now my major is undecided. Currently, I am a
student ambassador and will be playing basketball
and tennis this year for the Marauders. I also help
coach Middle School Football at Greenwood in the
fall. I really encourage all students to get
involved in intramurals on the campus! |

I am currently a sophomore at
UW-Marshfield/Wood County. I am majoring in nursing
and planning on transferring to UW-Eau Claire at the
end of the 2008-2009 academic year. At UW-M/WC, I
am involved in the honor society Phi Theta Kappa,
Student Senate Treasurer, President of the Future
Health Care Organization, peer tutor at the Learning
Center, and a student ambassador. I encourage you
to take advantage of the various opportunities
available at UW-M/WC and would be happy to help in
any way I can! |

I am currently in my second
year at UW-Marshfield/Wood County. As a
non-traditional student from Minnesota majoring in
nursing, I plan to finish with my B.S.N. from UW-Eau
Claire. I am a member of the Student Nursing
Association, and currently work as a CAN in the
surgical Intensive Care Unit at St. Josephs
Hospital. I enjoy spending time with my wife,
Andrea and my twin daughters Noelani and Alexis, and
helping them grow. I hope to finish with my Masters
Degree in Anesthesia and will continue to provide
excellent health care for many years to come. I
encourage all new students to be very active in
campus activities and always remember that I am
always available to lend a helping hand and assist
you in any way possible. Have a wonderful year and
never let go or your dreams! |
